Considerations for Endodontic Retreatment vs Apical Surgery
Successful management of persistent apical disease requires careful evaluation of the cause of treatment failure and selection of the most predictable treatment option. This course will explore the clinical, radiographic, and patient-specific factors that influence the decision between nonsurgical endodontic retreatment and apical surgery. Through case-based discussions and current evidence, participants will gain a practical framework for determining when each treatment modality offers the greatest opportunity for long-term success while minimizing patient risk and preserving the natural dentition.
