NMDA Announces "Hybrid" Fiesta 2021

The New Mexico Dental Association announced today that plans for Fiesta NMDA 2021 include both an in-person and virtual component.  Courses will be held, as usual, at the Albuquerque Convention Center during the meeting scheduled for June 17-19, 2021.  These courses will be simulcast on the internet allowing attendance remotely.  The courses will also be available for on-demand viewing for several months following the meeting.

Meeting Co-chair David Manzanares said, "We know people are eager to get back to live meetings, but are glad that we will be able to offer the program both in-person and online."  Many dental personnel have been vaccinated.  The meeting will continue to take precautions of masking and social distancing per public health orders, but  conditions should allow the meeting to have somewhat limited attendance and still be accessible to those that have not been vaccinated or don't wish to travel.

It is an outstanding program that will feature courses for the entire dental team.  These include respected presenters like Jennifer de St. Georges, Thomas Viola, Dennis Hartlieb, Tija Hunter, Peter Auster and Brian Shah.  There are workshops on adhesives, TMD and endo.  There will also be required classes on infection control, pain management, radiology and CPR.

"This will be an outstanding meeting and the perfect way to start getting back to in-person events," said meeting Co-chair, Monica Babilonia. "It will be a tremendous value as a hybrid meeting."  Final planning will be contingent upon the conditions of the pandemic and any public health restrictions in force, however NMDA remains optimistic that the meeting will move forward as planned.
